Henry de Bromhead and Sean Flanagan doubled up at Down Royal with Downmexicoway in the auction maiden hurdle.
The 2/7 favourite made all and stretched away after two out to score by an emphatic 10 lengths. Scalpnagoon (7/1) was a remote second and was 25 lengths clear of Our Soldier (8/1).
Flanagan said: "He was very, very professional.
"He has obviously had the runs in point-to-points and he knew his job.
"There was no pace and he has won over three (miles), so I popped out and he has jumped from hurdle to hurdle and I built into it well. He has finished off really strong.
"The contest of the race probably not much, but he couldn't have won any easier than he did."
